Kitchen of Hope

Every Thursday at 5:30 pm, Market Street offers to the community a free meal. All are welcomed at our table and many come- many elderly living on small pensions or social security, those living on disablity checks, those for whom life has thrown a few curves on their way to the Kingdom, and those who seek some company and a warm meal.

One of the leaders of the Kitchen of Hope, Pam Bowles says: "It's like cooking for your family and inviting everyone to come over." Over the years, we have seen many faces and hearts come, but each one has been a valued friend and even family.

The congregation of Market Street provide the supplies for keeping the Kitchen of Hope in operation. Also many groups outside of the church provide the volunteers to serve our guests at each meal.
